Booked & Blessed

It has been almost two weeks since my last blog and wow it has been a #busy few weeks. I am so #blessed to say that I have #booked my first event. I am loving every minute of this journey.
My last blog was titled "The Waiting Game" as I had recently just launched my business and I was essentially waiting for clients. Staying motivated I continued to focus on social media marketing and coming up with other ideas to promote my new business (stay tuned for my next blog). It's been almost a month since I have launched and I have had several vendors and clients reach out to me via social media in regards to my services. Although I didn't book any services through the first few people, my motivation continued.
Randomly on a Thursday I had an interested bride reach out to me via text message who had asked for a quote. I sent my consultation form to get more information from her so I could send her a quote based on the services she needed and the size of the wedding. I followed up via email sending my personalized quote and the link to pay the save the date deposit. I anxiously waited for three days but the following Monday I received a response from the bride stating they wanted to book my services! She sent the signed contract and paid the deposit via Paypal.
The fact that I #booked my first event within three weeks of launching - I had so many emotions. Needless to say, I am excited to coordinate the Mahoney wedding on October 5, 2019.
The fact that it has been almost two weeks since I have been able to sit down and write another blog confirms (for me) just how busy I have been. I have only traveled one weekend since launching but the days in between I have been researching ideas for my best friends bachelorette, helping a client with wedding postponement announcements (a future blog topic), ordering post cards and researching expos to be featured in their swag bags (another future blog topic).
I work from home answering phones for a pediatrics office in Orlando, so once I am done "at the office" my work day doesn't end. I usually go to the gym, cook dinner and then log into my laptop to focus on things for The Bridal Binder or for my mom's Etsy. Like I said before I try and do every other day for both and so far it's worked out well. I continue to stay busy even after the office but it never feels like "work" to me.
I am currently planning my best friends bachelorette party and also working on another project putting together welcome bags for my aunts birthday cruise in June. I have so many little projects that I have completed through The Bridal Binder and slowly but surely I know I will gain more.
Trusting God and taking a leap of faith to start this business was a blessing on it's own. I found the confidence through Him to trust myself and I am so glad I did. The support I have received (and continue to receive) is overwhelming at times but it gives me the motivation to continue. I have mailed my business cards to a few people to help with advertisement and marketing - let me know and I would be happy to ship you some!
I've only been "open" for business a little under a month and I have already completed two projects, working on a current project and booked one wedding. I am praying the next few months stay steady with business and projects.
I am truly #blessed and thank you to all who have and continue to support me.
