Feedback and Friends.

Home Sweet Home.

Wow, what a ride these past few weeks have been. I've been traveling so much (still have a few more trips to go) and this past week I visited my hometown Orlando, Florida. Jeremy, my husband, took an extended vacation from work and was traveling to Ohio for 5 days so I decided to take an extended trip back home. I have been looking forward to this week for quite some time - I was able to catch up with my best friend, spend time with my parents, have quality time with my brother, work at the office alongside my work family, hang out with old friends and even meet some new ones (stay tuned for my next blog).

My Light.

As Jeremy and I are currently driving back to Miami (November 12th) I keep reminiscing on this past week in Orlando. I mentioned in my previous blog (almost two weeks ago) that I haven't had much time to sit down and work on The Bridal Binder. Being in Orlando I still haven't had time (although I finished the rough draft of my contract one night) but I am in no rush to start this business and I know in God's timing it will be ready when it's ready - hopefully sooner rather than later.

To be honest, looking back on my week I laughed, I cried (which I haven't done in a long time) but all in all I went through a whirlwind of emotions due to various things going on but among-st how I felt I remained positive. Hence the title of this blog, Positive Vibes. I chose this picture particularly because of my best friends (my rocks) who keep me going but also because the light they bring to my life. I recently had a heart to heart with my best friend Elizabeth (to the direct left of me in the picture above) and she has been a constant light in my life. Through thick and thin we have shared every emotion together these past 13 years of friendship and usually she's the one person I go to for everything, my person.

Friends in general are lights in our lives, outside our family of course. I felt like a moth attracted to many lights this past week but never found myself blinded by the light. Instead I felt blessed and uplifted.

Feedback and Friends.

I kept so busy in Orlando that I wasn't even focused on The Bridal Binder much at all but to my surprise so many people brought up The Bridal Binder and assured me how excited they were for me. At work, at church, at home - everywhere I went I had a friend or family member (a light) reminding me of this venture and just overall praising me for the leap of faith I took, reassuring me I would be great at event planning.

Being reminded,"you're going to be great" or hearing "I'm so happy for you" is such a reassurance and confirmation that I pursued this dream not out of spite but out of faith. I've said it before and I'm saying it again, I am scared and nervous to start this business yet so excited at the same time. Having such incredible, constant feedback from friends and family was heart felt and I may have cried happy tears because of it. Knowing I have an amazing support system backing me up and some already telling me "you're going to plan my wedding" is just amazing.

Knowing people have trust and faith in me already when I haven't even launched this business - I am so grateful. I came across this bible verse (which I'll go into more in my next blog) but this verse has been tugging on my heart and has been a constant reminder:

Why am I discouraged?

Why am I sad?

I will put my hope in God!

I will praise Him again-

Psalms 42:5-6 reminds me that during the times I am discouraged or sad, God will have His healing hand on me guiding me through the discouragement and the sadness. I WILL praise Him again. These past few weeks I've found myself sad and discouraged at times but I always find Him through prayer and praise.

This is my greatest season yet and I just wanted to say thank you to all my friends and family for following this journey and being a part of it.

Thank you!!
